What do you check in an IT security review?
Backups including a real test restore, user accounts and permissions including accounts of departed staff, remote access and firewall, the update status of all devices, email security, and the question of who does what in an emergency. You receive a report with findings ranked by urgency — and that is worth having even if you commission nothing from us afterwards.
We work with client and guest data. Is remote maintenance enough?
For day-to-day support yes — access runs over a secured, logged connection, and that is more traceable than someone standing unannounced in the server room. For the walkthrough in the security review we come on site, because server room, cabling and access routes cannot be judged remotely.
