IT support for businesses without an IT department
WVM-IT takes on the day-to-day IT of small and mid-sized businesses in Austria and Germany: workstations, servers, email, printers, updates and backups. Ongoing support costs from €29 per workstation and month, individual help without a contract from €95 per hour. We answer within 24 hours and work mostly remotely — the route to you runs over a secured connection rather than the motorway.
In most businesses under fifty staff there is no IT department. There is somebody who “knows a bit about computers” — and who actually has another job to do. As long as nothing happens, that works. It shows the moment the office printer stops while quotes have to go out, or when a program the whole company depends on refuses to start after a Windows update. That is the gap we close: you get a number, an email address and one contact who knows how your technology is put together.
What you need us for
- Nobody is responsible — every fault starts with somebody looking for a number.
- Updates run uncontrolled or not at all, and one day a program stops starting.
- New staff wait days for a workstation that is ready to use.
- Nobody can say which devices, licences and accounts actually exist.
What we take on
- Workstations: setup, updates, software, printers, user accounts
- Servers and network: monitoring, maintenance, fault clearing
- Email and Microsoft 365: mailboxes, Teams, OneDrive, permissions
- Backups: daily, monitored, with a restore that has actually been tested
- Procurement: devices and licences that fit the business, without over-buying
- Documentation: a current overview of every device, account and contract
How we start
- 01
Take stock
We look at what is there: devices, servers, accounts, backups, contracts. The result is a list that usually did not exist before — including the parts that worry us.
- 02
Set up access and monitoring
We set up secured remote access and connect servers and workstations to monitoring. From then on we see disk space, load and errors before the business notices them.
- 03
Run it
You get in touch in one place, we handle it. Updates and backups run in the background; once a quarter we talk about what is coming up.
What it costs
Ongoing support costs from €29 per workstation and month, a managed server from €89 per month, monitored backups from €49 per month. If you only need occasional help, that is €95 per hour; on-site work costs €120 per hour plus travel. All figures are guide prices, net plus VAT. There is no minimum term beyond a quarter.

Frequently asked questions
From how many workstations is ongoing IT support worth it?
From around five workstations the support usually pays for itself if it prevents a single day of downtime a year. Below that, hourly billing is often cheaper — we say so honestly in the first conversation, even though it earns us less.
Does somebody have to come to us?
In most cases, no. Workstations, servers, email, updates and backups are handled remotely, and that works equally well in Austria and Germany. We come on site when cabling, installation or a hardware swap is needed — with the date and the price agreed in advance.
Can you take over our existing IT?
Yes, that is the normal case. We start by taking stock and then tell you what is running well, what is unprotected and what we would tackle first. You decide what gets done.
What happens if we want to leave?
You receive all accounts, passwords and the documentation in full. We deliberately build in nothing that ties you to us — no proprietary software and no access that only we hold.
We will get back to you within 24 hours.
